About my new line installation day

If there isn't a suitable phone line at your business premises, we'll have arranged to install one for you when you placed your order. You'll already have chosen a convenient date and time for your engineer visit when you placed your order.


Will you send me anything before my appointment?

Once you've placed your order, we'll send you a welcome pack including the details of your plan and your activation date. We'll also post out your new TalkTalk router which will arrive in time for your appointment. You won't need to do anything with the router until your engineer arrives as they will install it all for you.

Do I need to be at my premises on installation day?

The engineer will need access to your premises to install your services so someone will need to be present for the duration of the work, and to sign for the engineer visit. This can either be the account holder or a nominated person aged 18 or over.


What happens during a new line installation?

Your engineer can arrive any time within your agreed time slot, and you'll need to provide access to your premises so that the engineer can complete the installation. Once your line is installed, the engineer will test the line to make sure it works. They'll also connect your new router which you'll have received from us in the post.

  • Engineer not arrived? In the unlikely event that your engineer hasn't arrived during the time you expected, please call us on 0800 083 3003.
  • Ordered Fibre too? If you've signed up to Superpowered Fibre Broadband as part of your package, this will be installed at the same time as your new line.
