What is IMAP and POP3?

The main difference between IMAP (Internet Messaged Access Protocol) is that with IMAP the client syncs with the TalkTalk mail servers. When you make changes on the computer, the same changes will appear in webmail and other email clients you have set up.

With POP (Post Office Protocol) the email client and the TalkTalk mail server are not synced. All changes you make in the email client will only affect the client and will not be visible in webmail or other email clients.

How do I access my email when abroad?

As we have no control over ISP's email protocols outside of the UK, we can not guarantee that your email settings will work abroad. However, you can still access your emails via Webmail.

Simply login in to webmail at https://netmail.pipex.net/index-ttb.php, enter your email address and email password, select your email domain from the drop down menu, (eg f2s.com), then click Login.
