Here are some of the most common questions about porting your mobile number to TalkTalk Business Mobile.
If you're transferring your number from another network you'll need to request a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) from them. You'll normally have to call them and you should find the contact number for Customer Services on your Mobile bill.
If you have fulfilled your contract agreement with your current network they should give you a PAC free of charge. However, if you're still within contract they may charge you to issue a PAC and end your contract early.
If you would like to transfer your existing mobile number you must provide us with your Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) and mobile number you would like to keep when placing your order. If you've connected and gone live with a new number, you'll be unable to process a transfer.
We'll connect you automatically the next working day once delivery is confirmed. Check you have signal and are active on the network by making a test call.
Your existing mobile number will be transferred to your TalkTalk Business SIM and will no longer work on your old SIM.
It doesn't take long to transfer your number but please be aware it can happen at any time on the transfer date. Please check your TalkTalk Business SIM regularly throughout the day to see if your service is active.
Please note: You may find on your transfer day that not all services will start to work at the same time. You may be able to make calls but not receive them until your port has fully completed on the day. You will also find your voicemail may take a little longer to activate. We recommend rebooting your phone (turn it off and back on again) following a number port. This will refresh all your services on the network.
You may cancel your request to transfer your mobile number up to 4pm the day before the transfer date. Cancellation requests may only be submitted on a working day, Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm, excluding Bank Holidays
