Using TalkTalk Business Mobile abroad

You will have to activate roaming on your mobile before travelling abroad. Call us on 0800 781 0500 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday. Calls to Customer Service are FREE from your TalkTalk Business landline.

 

To use voicemail abroad you'll also need your voicemail security code. This is the code you set the first time you used your voicemail.

 

These services must be setup before you leave the UK.

 

How do I know if my phone is set up to use abroad?

You will have to activate roaming on your mobile before travelling abroad. Call Customer Services on 0800 781 0500 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday. Calls to Customer Service are FREE from your TalkTalk Business landline.

If you're not sure if roaming is active on your account it's always best to check. Please call us on the number above and we'll let you know if your set up and ready to go.

Which countries can I use my mobile phone?

To check if your mobile will work in the country you're travelling to please call Customer Services on 0800 781 0500 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday. Calls to Customer Service are FREE from your TalkTalk Business landline.

How much does it cost to use my mobile abroad?

All call charges, internet use and outgoing texts whilst roaming abroad are not included in your monthly plan. Roaming charges will be itemised separately on your bill as additional charges.

Please be aware, you'll be charged for both making and receiving calls whilst abroad.

 

How do I use my voicemail when abroad?

You use this service exactly the same way you would in the UK. You will need your Voicemail security code. If you don’t know this then please call the customer service team on 0800 781 0500 before you leave the country. A text will then be sent to the device containing your new pin.

How do I text when abroad?

Texts work the same as when your at home but are not included in your monthly plan. 

You don’t pay to receive a text.

How can I reduce my costs whilst travelling abroad with Vodafone?

Data Roaming

There may be applications on your phone that will use data without you knowing and will be charged at roaming rates. For this reason, we recommend you disable data roaming on your phone whilst abroad. Please check your user manual for information on how to disable data roaming. Alternatively call Customer Services on 0800 781 0500 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday if you're in the UK and we will be happy to help.

Wi-Fi

If you're able to use a free Wi-Fi connection when you're abroad from a hotel, restaurant or maybe a cafe. You will not incur any charges from TalkTalk Business for data use on this type of connection.

Why are some roaming charges I made last month on this months bill?

Records of any charges made whilst abroad get sent from the overseas network back to the UK. This can take longer to receive than records of any use made within the UK. Sometimes the delay in receiving these usage records can cause them to be charged on the next months bill. You'll only be charged for these calls once, irrespective of which month's bill they appear on.

 

You can make and receive calls while abroad with TalkTalk Business Mobile. We recommend before you travel abroad take some time to review information about additional charges and where your phone will work to avoid any surprises.
